Ask a Libertarian, Part II: The Constitution as Libertarian Myth

Ask a Libertarian, Part II: The Constitution as Libertarian Myth

Logan Ferree does a good job of dispelling libertarian myths about being like classical liberalism and the early USA. He also tries to distinguish between libertarians and objectivists.

This one is nice for the Libertarian Revisionist History index.

Just for the record, Ferree is a libertarian - a left libertarian Democrat. And his argument is hardly revisionist - he doesn't introduce any new facts but rather simply takes them in a logical direction (though there's nothing wrong with revisionist history).

I think you misunderstand, Jeremy: I'm not criticizing Ferree. I'm endorsing his criticisms of libertarian revisionism.

Libertarian claims about the founding fathers, early America, and Constitution have always been ridiculous.
